Classes begin at 9:40am
 + Adult Forum  with Pastor Mark in the North Fellowship Hall.   Interested in understanding Jesus Christ and his teachings?   We begin a six-week study of the Gospel of Mark.  This first-written Gospel is short, sweet and to-the-point.  Again and  again, it provides fresh eyes in seeing our savior active in word and deed even today.
 + Confirmed Youth  with Pastor Gregg in the Modular.
 + 7th & 8th Graders  with Wes McCall
 +  5th & 6th Graders  with Debbie McGinnis in the Modular.
+  3rd & 4th Graders  with Mandy Horetski and Stacey Zabel in the Curious Kinders Room (downstairs).
+ K-2nd Graders  with Colleen Dieterly and Laura Baylor in the Little Explorers Room (downstairs).
+ 3 and 4 Year Olds  with Laura McCall and Liz Teall-Fleming in the Awesome Owls Room (Preschool Hall).
+ Nursery  available for children  under 3.
Christmas Pageant
Thank you to everyone who was part of our Christmas Pageant, "Through the Animals' Eyes"!  It was a wonderful proclamation of the gospel.  The video includes captions for the harder-to-hear lines of the pageant!

We offer a variety of opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to combine their gifts for God's glory. Here are some of the options:

Nativity Choir - rehearses on Wednesdays at 7pm. This choir sings each week at the 11am worship service. 

 

Youth Choir - rehearses most Sundays at 4:30pm- check the Youth calendar.

 

Young Youth Choir - rehearses on the Sundays on which Young Youth is being held. 

 

Campfire Choir - now rehearses on the Sunday mornings when the choir will sing at the 8:30 service. 

 

Handbell Choir - rehearses on the two Tuesday evenings that fall before the choir rings in worship. Handbell Choir is on a break until the new year.  If you are considering playing with us, click here to contact Amber Wollner.

This year when the weather is inclement there will USUALLY be a late service at Nativity.  Please check the website at www.nativityarden.org  or call the Church Office at 684-0352 for the status of a service or other scheduled events.

+ nativity book group

The December meeting of the Nativity Book Group has been postponed. The group will meet next on Thursday, 
January 18, at 2pm  in the church fellowship hall and will discuss The Lost City of the Monkey God: A True Story by Douglas Preston. The book for February is Garden Spells by Sarah Addison Allen. All members and friends are welcome and invited to join the group as they are able.

If you are interested in claiming Nativity as your home congregation we welcome you and want to know you better.  A
 Rite of Welcome will be celebrated at both services on January 21.  Preparation will happen in our midweek, home-based, supper and sharing class, called "The Way".  For more information and registration contact Pastor Mark.

This weekly devotional handout is available on the Welcome Desk.  "Taking Faith Home" is a production of Milestones Ministry, LLC, and is created by a team lead by an ELCA Pasto r.
Volunteers  are needed weekly and every Saturday.  Join the Nativity crew on the first and second Saturday mornings of the month.  To volunteer, click  here

The  Women's Group of Nativity is making Personal Care Kits this year for Lutheran World Relief and asking for the congregation's help.  Each month we will collect a different item contained in the kit.  January's item is light-weight bathsized towels Click  here for details.

Heavy/sturdy cardboard wrapping paper inner rolls, mid to large-size jingle bells, English walnut shell halves, metal bottle caps (that take a bottle opener), colorful plastic bottle caps from plastic bottles (screw-off or squirt), colorful satin or grosgrain ribbon (no larger than 5/8" wide), wooden dowels or broom handles, dried peas or beans, plastic Easter eggs. Please give to Linda Blake or leave on the table under the Women's bulletin board by January 18. If you want to see how these items will be used, come to the Women's One Day Retreat on February 10!  (See article in block below).
