Let's Go Shopping
There is still time to take advantage of  two opportunities to help our League raise funds this May. On Thursday, May 4,  shop Camille Et Famille, 7418 Madison Street, Forest Park, from 6:00-8:00 pm, while enjoying wine and appetizers. Our League will receive 15% on all purchases. And then on May 12, 13, and 14, you can visit the Good Earth Greenhouse, 7900 Madison, River Forest, to buy plants and garden supplies, while earning 10% on all purchases for our League. What a deal! Share these events with your friends and neighbors. The more shoppers we have, the more our League earns!
Before the Flood
The LWV OPRF Environment Committee in partnership with the Oak Park Library, will be showing the movie "Before the Flood", followed by a discussion on climate change on Wednesday, May 17.  Starting at 6:30pm in the Veteran's Room of the Oak Park Library, the National Geographic movie has Leonardo DiCaprio visiting five continents to see firsthand the effects of climate change. A great movie for the whole family to see.
