Not knowing exactly what she wanted to do after graduating from Brunswick Senior High School, Jennifer Myrick attended Virginia Commonwealth University and earned her Bachelor of Arts in History. Several years later, she began working part-time in the Business Office at Southside Virginia Community College and found her niche. 

To increase her knowledge and understanding of her position and to prepare herself for future advancement, she began taking business classes at SVCC.  She graduated with an Associate of Applied Science in Business Management.

Jennifer started her career at SVCC as a cashier's assistant and was soon promoted to Grants Accountant while pursuing her business degree.  After receiving her latest promotion, she now serves as Accountant at SVCC and plans to begin work on a master's degree in the future.

" All of the staff and instructors were very helpful and supportive during my time at SVCC.  This is a great place to further your education and a great place to work," Jennifer says.

Jennifer grew up in Greensville and Brunswick Counties.  She remains a Brunswick County resident, where she lives with her husband and two sons.
