On January 25th, the Penfield, Webster, and Brighton Chambers of Commerce will jointly host a lunch presentation by
Jeff Adair, Monroe County's Chief Economic Development Officer and Executive Director of Imagine Monroe, Monroe County's Industrial Development Agency.
Jeff will speak about Monroe County's economic development programs-- including the new "LadderzUP" job training program and the "Recruiting on the Road" job fairs.
This presentation is also a great opportunity to discuss with Jeff issues that you encounter working for or owning a business in Monroe County.
Jeff Adair is the Director of the Monroe County Department of Planning & Development, the Executive Director of Imagine Monroe, the County's Industrial Development Agency, as well as Executive Director of the Monroe County Industrial Development Corporation. (Read more about Jeff)

WHAT DOES IT MEAN FOR YOU?

Dawn Hampsey, CPA, will give a presentation about the new tax plan.
The presentation will give an overview of the plan focusing on changes to the tax code that affect individuals and small locally-owned businesses: the personal exemption, the standard deductions, the 20% Qualified Business Income Deduction and more. There will be time for questions and answers.
This program is free but registration is helpful for planning purposes.
Dawn Hampsey is a Certified Public Accountant, who specializes helping her clients understand the tax laws that pertain to their situation with advice on how to improve their tax liability. She received her MS in Taxation from SUNY Albany and a BS in Accounting from Elmira College. She has served as an instructor for tax classes and has conducted numerous tax workshops. She is a member of the New York State Society of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs, and is active in many Rochester area nonprofit organizations.

Patty Flowerday Presents Original Ballet Jan 13
Patty Flowerday School of Dance presents an original ballet, "A Dog for Emily." The premiere of this ballet occurs on Jan. 13th at 5PM at Penfield High School. Tickets may be purchased for $10 online at

Additionally, the performance will support Woof2Hoof Canine Rescue and donations for the following items will be collected at the performance: XL puppy pads, Puppy Food (Fromm, ProPac, 4Health), tough puppy toys, Natural Dog Chews (Himalayan chews, bully sticks, etc.) heavy food and water dishes, small dog beds, harnesses, collars, leashes, crates, dog sweaters, blankets, cat litter, cat toys.
