Changes to towing and parking ordinance in effect in ESPD
Changes to the county's Towing and Parking ordinance are now in effect within the Washington County Enhanced Sheriff's Patrol District (ESPD).
The changes are designed to improve livability. The following parking restrictions apply to locations within the ESPD:
  • Vehicles, including RVs, cannot be used for overnight lodging on a public right-of-way for more than 48 hours at the same location or within a two-mile radius of the same location.
  • Recreational vehicles cannot be parked for more than four days (96 consecutive hours) in any 28-day period.
  • Commercial vehicles, as defined in ORS 801.208, cannot be parked on residential streets.
  • Parking is prohibited in front of the entrance of any place where mail is received or within 10 feet of a mailbox from 8 a.m.- 5 p.m.
  • Vehicles with expired tags, registrations or temporary license permits or without license plates cannot be parked on public streets.
  • Vehicles cannot be parked in a way/location that interferes with the use of right-of-way, the safe flow of traffic or visibility of other vehicles.
