Closing Thoughts
We are almost there! At this point, the legislative session will likely adjourn during the week of May 8th or May 15th. Of course, this can easily change at any time, especially in these final days. While we do not expect any last-minute surprises in terms of bad bills reappearing, we'll be keeping a close eye on the ever-changing final calendars to make sure that we are not blindsided. Don't forget to keep a close eye on our Facebook and Twitter pages over the next few days. We'll post any major updates on labor bills and will let you know when lawmakers have finally adjourned for the year.
Unless something unexpected arises, this will be our last legislative update for the year. As we've done in the past, we'll send out our wrap-up e-mail towards the end of May with the top good and bad bills that we faced this year, along with a preview of what could come back in 2018. Our legislative team will also provide a recap at our 30th Biennial Convention in August, which will be an opportunity for all of you to ask questions and discuss the labor legislation that we saw this year. Whether you made time to join us at the Capitol or kept your local informed about the legislation that we've been watching, thanks to all of you for your hard work this session!
