Worship: Sundays @ 8:15, 9:40, 11:00 am | Wednesdays @ 6:35 pm
Greetings, friends!

I don't know about you, but I am still basking in the afterglow of our candlelight Christmas Eve services. What a glorious night we shared together - having sung some of the greatest hymns of our faith, heard the good news that unto us a child is born, gathered at the Lord's Table, and shared the light of Christ! If that weren't enough, what an amazing opportunity we were given to make God's love real in the world through our partnership with Family Promise and their new initiative, the Partners in Housing Program. While we don't yet have the final count, we can confidently report that your generosity currently stands at more than $30,000 - which puts us very close to our goal of $35,000 to purchase a new manufactured home for Family Promise to use as transitional housing for qualifying families in need. If you were out of town on Christmas Eve and would like to participate in this special offering, you can donate here and choose "Christmas: Family Promise".  Thank you, Trinity!

Considering that this is the final Pastor's Message of 2017, I also wanted to provide an update about our 2018 budget. We are so very grateful to have received 420 pledges over the past six weeks that total $2,018,594 - nearly 65% of our $3,125,000 budget for next year. While we are very encouraged by these numbers (some of the highest we've seen at Trinity at this point in a stewardship campaign), we are still hopeful that we will surpass last year's total pledges. If your planned giving for next year is not yet a part of these figures, please help our budget planning for 2018 by returning your commitment card by the end of the year. You can also complete a commitment card online here. Likewise, if you would like to help Trinity finish 2017 strong by making an additional gift toward this year's operating budget, you can donate here and choose "General Support."

This Sunday, we will return to our regular worship schedule and we will observe New Year's Eve by participating together in what's known as a "Wesleyan Covenant Renewal Service," something that has long been a part of our Methodist tradition. You won't want to miss this special worship service that will help us begin the new year as disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. See you in worship!

Grace and peace be with you,
Aaron
