which will be presented  for vote at our Annual Meeting on May 31, 2017 in compliance to Article XVIII of current bylaws.

Walgreens launches permanent prescription medication disposal kiosks
You may have heard of the prescription medication take back day being held this weekend?  Well you don't have to worry about you or your patients missing it, as Walgreens has just announced the launch of their permanent prescription medication disposal sites. You can now tell your patients that Walgreens has medication disposal kiosks throughout Colorado for their convenience and they are free to use.  This will help to ensure your patients can safely and easily dispose of medications that are no longer needed. Properly disposing of unused, unwanted or expired medications, including controlled substances and over-the-counter medications, can help to prevent misuse of those drugs.
There is currently one participating Walgreens pharmacy listed in the ADEMS catchment area with a safe medication disposal kiosk:
  • Highlands Ranch - 9141 S. Broadway
More may be added in the future.  For a list of additional medication take back sites,  click here .
