Twine Fields Is Now Preserved
Here's the gift we all have been waiting for: Just as the year was about to end, the ownership of the Twine Field in North Truro was deeded to the Truro Conservation Trust. The Twine Field, lying in frozen splendor now, will be forever free to grow and thrive -- free from development, a haven for animals, and a place of peace for all of us and for our children and their children.
We all together have made this happen with our work and our contributions and, most of all, with our caring for these precious and unique ten acres that became our responsibility to protect. We have completed now, through the efforts of hundreds of individuals and organizations, our work.
The Trust is planning a gathering in the spring or summer.
Transfer Station Closed Wednesday and Thursday
The Transfer Station will be closed Wednesday and Thursday until April 30th, 2018. Going forward, the Transfer Station will also be closed on the following holidays: Martin Luther King Day, President's Day, and Patriot's Day.
