Students in 5th grade enjoyed their annual class trip to Austin, where they had the opportunity to visit many sites in the state's capital. A big thank you to parents Frank Silberlicht, Clara Schwartz, Isaac Lagnado, Dara Less, and Elizabeth Juarez, for chaperoning the group.

On Monday students in 4th through 12th grades had the opportunity to visit the RMBA Holocaust Exhibit which was comprised of student projects and art work depicting different periods. Parents were invited for a guided tour to commemorate Yom Hashoah. Pictured above, Avichai Tarshish in 5th grade reading his peers work.

Medallion Residents Visit RMBA
As part of the Yom HaShoah commemoration ceremony, residents of The Medallion Assisted Living Facility were invited to participate, in conjunction with the Better Together program. RMBA high school students, who have been paired up with 'buddies' at The Medallion all year, sat with the seniors during the program. Lissa Streusand, one of the residents and Better Together participants, spoke to the whole Upper School about her escape from Europe during World War II.

5th Grade Austin Trip
Students in 5th grade were eager to go to Austin for a 2 day trip, where they had the chance to visit the Capital, the LBJ Library Museum, Washington on the Brazos, and the Austin Nature and Science Center among other places. The students had a great time learning and bonding with each other.

New FIDF Director Visits RMBA
Men's Seminar hosted Mr. Danny Gutman, the newly appointed Executive Director of Friends of the IDF of Texas. Mr. Gutman shared some of the amazing work his organization does for Lone Soldiers in Israel and their families, and also talked to the students about some of the challenges of being a newer organization.

Birthday Music for Israel
EC2 students enjoyed their music class with Morah Ronith where they played with kitchen instruments and began learning songs in celebration of Israel's birthday.

Outdoor Art
Students in Mrs. Bryant's class had the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful weather and have their class outside. Students painted the 'ga-ga' gazebo with Jewish holiday themes which encircle the gazebo.

What's in Ned's Head
Students in Kindergarten enjoyed reviewing the letters of the Aleph Bet with a fun game called 'What's in Ned's Head'. Every student had the opportunity to pull out a Hebrew letter from Ned's head, identify it, whether or not it was a new letter they were learning or one they had mastered, as well as the sound it makes. Students had a fun time giving examples for all the sounds they knew.

Love for Israel
In preparation of Yom HaAtzmaut festivities next week, Bnot Sherut Adi and Shira created an 'I love Israel' wall. Students and parents have the opportunity to write why the special country means so much to them! Help us fill up the space and make sure to write why Israel is so important to you next time you visit RMBA!
