Dear Friends,
We are excited to announce that the Appalachian Regional Library (which includes Watauga) was awarded a Library Services and Technology Act grant to promote a community read and have the author come to speak as well. The theme is "Maintaining and Managing Your Mental Health", something we all can strive for in the year ahead.
The book we are promoting is
"Cracked, Not Broken" by Kevin Hines.
Kevin will be speaking at the Boone United Methodist Church on Monday, April 16 at 6:30 pm
All three county locations are listed below.
We will have Read and Return copies available soon, and we are in the process of cataloging copies for checkout.
A kick off will be Thursday, February 1 to inform the public about this book, author visits, and other program offerings.
Programming, advertising, and collections are part of this venture.
Happy New Year!
Monica Caruso, County Librarian
