Through March 4, 2018 Millennium Park The Chicago winter tradition offers free skating lessons and special programming on weekends and during the Chicago Public Schools' winter break. Bring your skates or rent some of ours. Admission to the rink is free. For more information, visit millenniumpark.org. Chicago Cultural Center Closed on January 8
In order to deinstall the special exhibition of the
Chicago Architecture Biennial, the Chicago Cultural Center will be closed to the public on Monday, January 8. When the building reopens on Tuesday, January 9, it will continue with the new public hours: 10am-7pm Monday through Friday and 10am-5pm Saturday and Sunday.

New Chicago Cultural Center Tours
Learn more about the storied history of the landmark Chicago Cultural Center at one of the
building tours offered year round on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 1:15pm. Tours are free and led by volunteer docents, starting at the Randolph Lobby on the 1st Floor North.
New in 2018, on 2nd Tuesdays at 1:15pm, the building will offer enhanced tours for visitors:
· January 9: Spanish language tour
· February 13: Tour for visitors who are deaf or hard-of-hearing
· March 13: Tour for visitors who are blind or have low vision

Year of Creative Youth
Mayor Rahm Emanuel and the Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events have designated 2018 as the "Year of Creative Youth." The $2 million investment by the City of Chicago will include a Creative Youth Festival across the Millennium Park Campus, performance opportunities for teens at city festivals and partner events, cultural grants and convenings for youth arts organizations and a marketing campaign among other events.
