Letter from Melissa, what?!
Hello you awesome triathletes!

Brian is out of town on a much needed vacation, so I have taken over the letter for this month, so watch out!

First of all, let's start with what an awesome group of racers we had out this month at Belews Lake, White Lake and even the Boston Marathon! Way to represent the team, and there were some podium finishes as well. See the facebook page for pics and more details.

Next up, we have Lake Brandt Tri here locally. There is a TTT discount, and it is not too late to sign up with Trivium. Check the website for details, and for other member discounts and benefits.

This upcoming Sunday, one of our sponsors, Recycles is hosting a Rocky Mountain Bike Demo at Country Park from 12-5pm. While they are out there, come out and try one of their bikes and also bring your own to participate in an informal transition and brick workout.
Please indicate on the FB post if you plan on attending so we can make sure to see your smiling face out there and say "hi".

Lastly, if there are any ideas, thoughts or suggestions you have, please contact anyone on the board (Brian DeYoung, Melissa Roberts, Betsy Miles, Pete Barusic, Wes Koonts, and Sarah Thomas).

Good luck out there, and hope to see you in the pool, lake, on the road, or running
around soon!
Melissa Roberts :)

This month's Athlete of the Month is Mike Smith!
Mike joined the team last year, although he has been part of the triathlon community for five years now. He not only enjoys triathlons, but also enjoys mountain biking, which he has been doing since he was in college. While training,  his favorite mantra is, "When the going gets tough, I ask myself , what would you do on race day? If I wouldn't quit during a race, I won't quit during a workout." Great words to train by!
If you see Mike out there, say congrats to being our AOM!
See more about Mike here:

* will be updated May 7 :)

This month's Sponsor Spotlight is Friendly Dentistry!

This month's Sponsor Spotlight is Friendly Dentistry!
I don't know about you, but when I think about triathlon my mind immediately goes to one thing.  Oral hygiene!  Dr. Guy Ribando of Friendly Dentistry has been known to lay out the red carpet to his patients upon each and every visit to his office.  You won't find a more competent, compassionate, and outstanding dentist in Greensboro.  And he's got a special place in his heart for triathletes, as he is one, is married to one, is the father of two, and is the dentist of several of our fellow TTT members!  So if you're looking for a local dentist to keep those teeth clean and that smile finish line ready, check out Friendly Dentistry and be sure to let them know that the TTT sent you!

Friday, May 12, 6:30pm at Earthfare
Triathlon Question and Answer Session! We've invited Rob Seltzer, Joel Maycock, and Richard Swor to answer any triathlon questions you can throw at them. So bring some questions, and prepare to learn!

We'll also have Richard Swor share what Trivium has on schedule for the rest of the year, and beyond!

We will be in the community room at Earthfare on Battleground. Come at 6:30 to enjoy Earthfares hot and cold food bar and some social time with teammates.
The talk will begin at 7.
