From the studio of Sharon Crute...
A few months ago, I committed to painting ten new western-themed pieces for my upcoming show in Prescott, Arizona. I began last November and this week, I completed painting number 10! They're in various sizes and range in subject from Indian Relay to driving cattle.

In between this series, I worked on several private commissions and a steeplechase painting created specifically for the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame. You may remember it from last month's newsletter: Good Night Shirt will be inducted into the Hall of Fame this summer.

I love to work.

43rd Annual Western Art Show & Sale
It's almost time! I'll be leaving soon for Prescott, Arizona to participate in my first western exhibit. It has been a blast to explore and paint this new subject. The show is May 27th - 29th on the historic Court House Plaza in downtown Prescott.

Blast from the past...
Every year a wonderful client commissions the Kentucky Derby winner to be painted on a small gold leaf panel. He called this past week to remind me. So, this year I'll be painting a portrait of Always Dreaming. Congratulations to trainer Todd Pletcher and the many owner connections!
