ROAD CLOSURE MAY 15-17

To ensure public safety during the demolition of the "Henny's Building located at 9622-28 Third Ave, please note the following road closure and parking restrictions that will be in effect on May 15th, 16th & 17th:
Third Ave between 96th St & 97th St will be closed to through traffic from 8:00am to 6:00pm
There will be "NO PARKING" on the 9600 Block of Third Ave each day between 8:00am to 6:00pm
There will be "NO PARKING" on the entire 200 block of 97th St each day from 8:00am to 6:00pm
97th St will remain open to vehicle traffic however the sidewalk surrounding the construction site will be closed to foot traffic.



96th Street Bridge
Repairs to the 96th Street Bridge will continue through Memorial Day. During thi s time period, daily delays and nightly delays and/or closures are expected.  Daily, the bridge will remain open but could be reduced to one lane of traffic. Nightly, the bridge is closed to traffic between the hours of 10PM and 5AM, Sunday through Thursday. No work will occur on Friday and Saturday nights.  Please plan accordingly and utilize Avalon Blvd or North Wildwood Blvd as alternate routes. 
   
Townsends Inlet Bridge 
A crack 30 feet below water in one of the supporting piers of the Townsends Inlet toll bridge has resulted in its indefinite closure.

County Engineer, Dale Foster said the hope is for the repairs to be completed before Memorial Day. In the meantime, motorists will have to use Route 9 or the Garden State Parkway to circumvent the bridge.
