Reunion 2017: Celebrating alumnae from the Classes ending in 2 and 7

More than 160 alumnae, faculty and friends returned to SCA on April 2 to celebrate their years at SCA and rediscover friends. Alumnae from 1957 through 2012 enjoyed the afternoon. Members of the Class of 1967 and 1992 received pins commemorating their Golden and Silver Anniversaries respectively. 


Chinwe Abaraoha '13 is on the Road to Medical School
 
Chinwe Abaraoha '13 graduated magna cum laude from SUNY Albany with a degree in biology this past December, a semester early. Now she plans to work full time as a medical scribe for  CityMD Urgent Care while she prepares for her MCATs and makes plans for medical school.

Robotics Team Competes in National Competition
The SCA Robotics Team earned a spot at the Robotics National Competition in Council Bluffs, Iowa, April 6-8, 2017.  They are the first New York State all-girl team to reach this level of competition.  The team distinguished themselves by being selected to give a special presentation on their robot design to the competition judges.  The Robotics members Ashley DeLeon-  Captain (soph.);  Gabriel Vega- Co-captain  (jr.);  Mariah Villalon- secretary (soph.);  Angelique Vega (soph.);  Kasey Hayes (soph.);  Cheyenne Tobar (jr.);  Angelica Lawton (soph.);  Jasmine Juliano (soph.); and  Angelique Taveras (sr.).

Simone Sanchez '17 has a Future in Living Color
Simone Sanchez '17 applied to and was accepted at the School of Visual Arts, The Purchase College BFA Program and the Parsons School of Design, where she also was awarded a scholarship.  Simone has decided to attend Purchase to study photography under the Art and Design Conservatory.

SCA Softball Team Takes the Field
 Spring is in the air as the St. Catharine's softball team takes to the field. On April 24, SCA beat Aquinas 15-12. Go Huskies!
