Palm Beach Habilitation Center is selected as one of the 2017 Best Nonprofits to Work For by the NonProfit Times!

For the fourth time, Palm Beach Habilitation Center has been designated by The NonProfit Times and Best Companies Group as among the 50 Best Nonprofit Organizations to Work For in the United States ranking 38th best overall.

The Nonprofit Times partners with Best Companies Group to identify nonprofit organizations that have excelled in creating quality workplaces for employees.  This survey and awards program is designed to identify, recognize and honor the 50 best employers in the nonprofit industry benefiting the industry's economy, workforce and businesses.

"We are honored to receive this award for the fourth time," said Tina Philips, President & CEO. "Our staff's dedication to helping the clients achieve their greatest level of independence has made the Center a fun, energetic, and inspiring place to work."

                                   ART WORKS!

Palm Beach Habilitation Center Art Exhibit at  the  
City Hall of Delray Beach is on display until May 1. 
 
You will be amazed by our clients' creative artwork featured at a special  art exhibit located in the lobby of the City Hall of Delray Beach. The exhibition will be on display until May 1.  Special thanks to Bob Birkenes and the Delray Art League members for their partnership!    





 

Western Business Alliance and Lantana Chamber of Commerce Event at the Hab Center was  
a Great Success!       

The monthly meeting of the Western Business Alliance was held at the Hab Center last month.Over 50 community leaders were in attendance and learned about the programs, services and production capabilities of the Center. 


            5,040,000 ITEMS, 48,000 BOXES, 32 YEARS!

     
Since 1959, the National Association of Chain Drug Stores has contracted with the Center for the fulfillment of special packages for their annual convention attendees.  PBHC's clients happily roll up their sleeves by placing over 130  items in each box and carefully packaging over 1,000 boxes!   Every year the clients and staff are totally committed to the project and make an extra effort to ensure that the NACDS convention is one to remember.

On May 17, 2017, the Palm Beach Habilitation Center is participating in the Great Give Palm Beach & Martin Counties, a 24-hour giving event led by the United Way of Palm Beach County, United Way of Martin County, Achieve and Nonprofit First.

 

Great Give is designed to raise as much money as possible for local nonprofits in just one day!

 

This community-wide event celebrates the spirit of giving and the collective effort it takes to make a community strong while raising crucial dollars for many local nonprofits.   Plus, each donation made in this 24 hour period will be amplified by bonus pool dollars and hourly prizes!

 

Your donation of $20 or more will go a long way to support the many programs and services for adults with disabilities.
