BOSA News
The men of the Brotherhood of St. Andrew (BOSA) wish to thank the communicants of St. Luke's for their wonderful support over the last few months.

Specifically, we are very thankful for the wonderful new kitchen. We put it to the test during our super successful Lenten fish fries, and it functioned beautifully. Thanks to Barlow Brooks and Bill Ferriell for their many hours of work shepherding this marvelous improvement into reality.

We are also thankful for your support of our fish fries and Easter hams projects. While circumstance made us miss the first two Lenten Fridays, we enjoyed great success the following weeks, thanks to you and your friends and fans of great seafood and sides.

Thanks, too, for your support of our Easter hams sales. We sold 87 hams this year, and life just keeps getting better. One great reason, and target of our thanks, is Charlie Hawkins, who designed and put together our new barbeque pit in the back yard of Lyman House. It allowed us to glaze and smoke that many hams in less than four hours. We older Brothers of the all-day routine we used to experience really appreciate that.

There will be more to come from BOSA during the months ahead, and we owe great thanks to the men of BOSA for their many hours of effort in support of the Best Church in the World. Remember, though, we couldn't do all of this without you, our church family. You have our prayerful thanks.

Calling all instrumentalists!

Spring has arrived!
Join our walking group! (weather permitting). We meet Wednesday's at 8:30 AM at the Anchorage Trail in downtown Anchorage prior to Bible Study.

The trail is paved thru a wooded area with a lovely wildflower meadow where you may see birds, butterflies, or deer. Maybe some other interesting species.

Get your walking shoes and let's "get movin"!

Questions? Contact: Anne Willis 245-8065 or

See you at the trail!

Youth Sunday & Parish Picnic
On Sunday, May 21st, at our 10:00 Eucharist, we will be celebrating and honoring our children, youth, and their teachers and adult mentors, as we conclude another school year of Faith Formation here at St. Luke's.

The youth will be leading our worship - reading the lessons, offering the prayers, distributing Communion, and our sole high school graduate this year will be delivering the sermon.

Afterwards, we'll share a Parish Picnic on the Lyman House grounds.  The Church will provide the main course and beverages.  We encourage parishioners to provide side dishes and desserts.  We also need people to help organize this event, and help with set-up and clean-up. Please bring your own lawn chairs
