Senior's Last Day!
The Class of 2017 celebrated their last day of exams with some serious school spirit and excitement for their future.  The day-long celebration began in typical IWA style - with a morning "tailgate" dance party on the front steps of 609 Crawford.  They played music, danced and posed for pictures while proudly wearing their college tee-shirts and "re-imagined" IWA skirts.  See some great pictures of the girl's creations here and try not tear up watching them sing the alma mater in the courtyard during their last school lunch.  The day ended with a 10-second final countdown to dismissal time and though we are so excited for their next chapter, we will miss this very special Class of 2017 dearly.  Praised be the Incarnate Word!

On behalf of the IWA Mothers Club, we would like to thank all of the families who so generously donated food and gift cards last week for Teacher Appreciation Week!  We had such a nice variety of food and generous portions served to the teachers all week.  Everyone was o grateful for the gift cards and there were enough for every teacher and staff member.  It was a very special week that showed just how one-of-a-kind the IWA community really is.  Read the thank you note from the teachers!

Pancakes & PJs Gala Sign Up Party!

Next Tuesday is the final day to buy tickets for your daughter to attend this year's Pancakes and PJ's breakfast!  The morning will start with her leaving the house in her PJ's for an early arrival at school on Thursday, May 18th, 2017 (this is the on campus review day before finals week).  Once at school and before the first bell rings, your daughter gets treated to a wonderful pancake breakfast prepared by our all-time favorite, Ms. Fredia!  Pancakes will be served by a "special wait staff" that will help embellish their pancake selection with lots of yummy toppings and of course plenty of coffee and chocolate milk to wash it all down.  After breakfast you can head to class in your comfy PJ's and get some quality review time in with your teachers before finals.  Space is limited so get your tickets today!
Pass on the Plaid | MAY 25
It's that time of year again!   IWA is collecting used uniforms to re-sell at the IWA Used Uniform Sale on  Thursday, May 25th from 9 a.m. to noon .  This is your opportunity to "Pass on the Plaid" and donate your gently used uniform including red sweaters and vests, skirts, polo shirts and blue sweatshirts.  The uniform must not have any holes or be significantly stained.  Please drop them off in the bin located in the front office.  We also need several parent volunteers to organize and help during the sale.  If you can help out with this, please contact Beth Fischer at  [email protected] .
