The Clinical & Translational Science Institute (CTSI) of Southeast Wisconsin recently featured UAB kidney disease and transplant experts Drs. Bruce Julian (nephrology) and Jan Novak (microbiology) on its CTSI Discovery Radio show (WMSE 91.7 FM). Kidney failure disproportionately affects African, Hispanic, and Native Americans and is the 9th leading cause of death in the U.S., killing more people than prostate or breast cancer. JDRF Requests Applications for FY18 Training Awards
The awards range from $58,000 to $150,000 for Innovative, Training, and Career Development Grants. Awards for Strategic Research Agreements are "as approved."
