Big Changes for Commercial Zoning Permits

News from Denver CPD that may impact building and development projects

Commercial zoning counter changing to half-days starting June 5

Recent changes have made our commercial zoning review process more efficient--reducing the need for customers to visit the zoning counter in person.

What changed -- details here.

As a result, staff will soon be able to spend more time reviewing zoning plans and issuing permits. This will also free up more time for responding to zoning records requests, phone messages and emails.

New Hours! Starting Monday, June 5

8 am to noon, Monday-Friday

Check-in opens at 8 am and closes at 11:30 am or when line is full

New webpage and Project Guides

Some of our newest improvements are streamlined application forms, brand-new Project Guides, and sample plans that illustrate the information we need to complete a zoning review.

Scroll down to "Project Guides, Applications and Instructions."
Open the drop-down menu of the permit you seek (e.g., a "zoning use permit") to find forms, guides, sample plans, and a list of what to submit.
