St. Patrick's Day Parade
The Greater New Haven St. Patrick's Day Parade steps off Sunday, March 12, 2017 at 1:30 PM.  Town Green ambassadors will be staffing the Family Fun Zone, assisting with downtown directions and providing post-parade clean up. 

Families with young children are encouraged to come down to the New Haven Green at the corner of Elm St. and Church St. from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM on parade day to reserve a space in the Stroller Parking Zone on Church St., enjoy live entertainment, face painting, games, local food truck fare and more!

Important Information:
The Greater New Haven St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee, New Haven Police Department, and Town Green are working diligently to ensure that parade day is a great day! Public drinking and open container enforcement will be a priority focus for security forces downtown and along the parade route.

What's New?
Fence along Kresge Lot
Elm City Mosaic
Town Green was awarded a Creative Place Making Grant for the Elm City Mosaic project from Springboard for the Arts & International Downtown Association. 

Town Green has enlisted the help of Michael Pavano and his class of students from New Light High School to plan, create and install a mural of colored tiles on fencing at the Kresge Parking Lot on lower Chapel Street. Installation is scheduled for May.

February Foot Traffic
The pedestrian counts for February 2017 have just been released.
From January 30 to February 26, a total of 244,322 visitors were counted. This brings the year's total to 435,443.

The busiest day during this time period was Friday, February 24 with a headcount of 12,615.  Winter Storm Niko on February 9 accounted for the lowest footfalls of 3,792.

Counters are located at Chapel & High Sts. and Orange Street at B Cafe, Reynolds Fine Art and Ferrucci's. Read More
