Chapel
Everyone is welcome to join us for our chapel service on Wed., May 17, at 8:30 a.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Pastor Sheets from Good Shepherd Lutheran Church will be leading this service. Our 4th quarter chapel offerings will go to Bridge Community Church.
PTL News
Our next and final PTL meeting will be held on Tues., May 16 at 6:30 p.m. in the library. We will let you know some details before then but plan on attending as we try to secure and choose PTL officers at that meeting. If you have ideas that you would like to see implemented, we will see you there. Many hands make light work.

Save the Date - May 25 - The last full day of school will be our annual family cookout. This year, we are bringing back our Field Day which is going to be a fun time for students to face friendly competition and play some fun games. More details to follow.

BCA's Got Talent! Try-outs - May 15
As part of our Field and Fun Day on Thurs., May 25, BCA will be having a talent show! If your K - 8th grade child is interested in taking part in the talent show, please have him or her come to the library after school on Mon., May 15 to try-out for the Talent Show. 

PK4 Graduation - May 23 
Our Pre-K4-year-olds will graduate on Tues., May 23 at 9 a.m. in the BCA gym. Please join us as we congratulate them as they journey to Kindergarten. All PK4 students will continue with their current class through Fri., May 26. Summer Camp is available through Angela's Angels and Athletes beginning May 30 and goes through Aug. 11.

8th Grade Graduation - May 24 
Everyone is invited to attend the 8th grade Commencement at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church on Wed., May 24 at 7 p.m.

Field & Fun Day - May 25
Mark your calendars for Thurs., May 25. We will have a school-wide cookout for lunch, field day activities and a talent show. More information will be sent home soon.
Basketball Camp - June 5 -9 

Mr. Streufert, BCA Athletic Director, will host a basketball camp for rising 3rd - 8th graders from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m., June 5 - 9, 2017.  

The cost is $60 per child and the fee includes a t-shirt and basketball.  

There will be many contests each day, such as shooting for basketball cards, hot-shot contest and free throws, as well as contests based on skills. At the end of the week, one athlete will be named "Outstanding Camper of the Week". For more information please contact Mr. Streufert at the school or [email protected]

Orders are now being taken for the BCA 2016-2017 yearbook! Deadline to order is May 26, 2017.

Photos will include student activities from Infants - 8th grade
featuring class events, sports photos, school dances,
National Lutheran Schools Weeks activities, field trips,
Fun & Field Day, chapel, mini-courses and much more!

Please make checks payable to BCA, with "Yearbook" in the memo line and return the FORM, along with payment, to your child's teacher or Melissa Swafford by 5/26/17. Books will be available for pick-up on  Registration Day, Aug. 9, 2017. Forms may also be picked up the front lobby of the school. 
Attention Parents - Parking in Back/Carport
We are asking that parents who use the back entrance of the school in the mornings to please not park under the carport. The area under the carport is not for parking. If you are going to walk your child into school, you must park in a designated parking spot beyond the carport. Please be respectful to others and help us by keeping the arrival time running smoothly for our students and parents. We appreciate your cooperation.
End-of-Year Procedures for K - 8th grade/Blended Learning students 

Cafeteria News 
The end of the year is fast approaching! ALL cafeteria charges need to be paid as soon as possible. You may pay with cash on a daily basis for lunch, milk and ice cream. Please try to send in the amount of money that is necessary to get to the end of the year. Keep in mind any field trips your student's class has planned. As of Monday May 8, there are 13 lunch days left in this school year. Please call Mrs. Tammy Antwine in the cafeteria if you have any questions.

News from the Business Office 
Attention: All Parents of K - 8th graders - All balances must be paid in full by Fri., May 19. Outstanding balances may include tuition, day care, lost or damaged textbooks, lunch charges or library books. Please call Mrs. Audra Cardillo at 622-3755, ext. 13 if you have any questions. Report cards will be held if you have an outstanding balance.

Extended/Day care charges for K - 8th graders through Tues., May 23 will be available on Wed., May 24. Day care for May 24 through May 26 will be on a pre-paid basis for those who do not have a day care contract. Day care for Kindergarten through 8th/Blended Learning will be $5 per day for Wed., May 24 and Thurs., May 25. Day care will be the $15 per day rate for Fri., May 26.

Final Chapel/End-of-Year Awards
Chapel and end-of-year awards will be held at 8:30 a.m. on Fri., May 26. Dismissal will be approximately 10 a.m. on Fri., May 26 which is the last day of school. Report cards will be sent home via InfoDirect after the closing chapel service. Chapel dress code is required as we have had on all of our chapel days. 

For K - 8th students - If your K - 8th grader needs Day Care following the closing chapel service, you must sign up with Melissa Swafford before Wed., May 24. You will need to bring a sack lunch and drink for Day Care on May 26. You may reach Melissa at 423-987-8774. Thanks for your cooperation.
