There are great things happening in Downtown Lancaster! As the remnants of the last snow have been washed away and we prepare for the possibility of more winter weather, we are grateful to our Special Improvement District property owners (SID) for their investment in the maintenance, beautification, and economic development efforts of downtown. Work continues on all fronts to move Downtown forward and snow removal services are key to keeping people safe and insuring business can thrive this time of year. The Special Improvement District is comprised of property owners on  Main Street  (from Memorial to High) and Columbus and Broad Streets (Wheeling to Walnut).

Destination Downtown Lancaster, alongside our SID, provide a unified Downtown that is focusing full time efforts on revitalization and economic development. We are grateful for these property owners who value a vibrant downtown. They have a vision for our community and they know that investment in the heart of our city will insure a legacy of prosperity for decades to come.

Office Ramblings
Weekly Greetings Friends-

Chaos...some organized, some not... has been the theme for this week! Between my desk and Mother Nature I'm not sure which is more of a hot mess right now! Is it Winter? Is it Spring? Will it rain, snow, sleet or something else in between that is obnoxious?! My goodness, just trying to figure out what to wear to work is exhausting me every morning! But we muddle through and eventually pick out just the right outfit (and shoes) make it to work and get through the piles on the desk! A messy desk for me means that Downtown is busy and that excites me! Plus I suppose it's a bit of job security! ;)
I told you last week about the upcoming events, so I'll just remind you to look at the calendar above in this newsletter to see what's happening Downtown! Plus I can say there are a few things in the works that aren't on the calendar, so stay tuned!
Change has also been a theme this week, and as we know, the only thing constant is change! That goes for Downtown too. Change isn't always bad in a Downtown, it keeps things fresh and growing. So as you hear of these changes just keep in mind that while we will miss some of the old, we welcome the new. DDL is excited as to what's to come and we encourage you to keep visiting as there will be new experiences to be had!!

Chaos and change- words that are often scary. But we roll with it, we try to embrace it and be excited by it. So buckle up and try to enjoy the ride!

No Wild Woman Wednesday to report, the darn chaos and change got in the way! In two weeks the new exhibition "Artists of the Winding Road A-Z" opens at the Decorative Arts Center of Ohio and we plan to go see it! This exhibition features innovative work in a wide range of genres by many of the nationally recognized artists who live and work in Appalachian Ohio. Soft shenanigans to follow ;)

Have a great week! Come Downtown and eat, shop, play and enjoy! We work hard to make it a destination for everyone!

See you Downtown!!
