Students District-Wide Participated in Hour of Code
We live in a world surrounded by technology. And we know that whatever field our students choose to go into as adults, their ability to succeed will increasingly depend on understanding how technology works. Learning even the basics will help students in nearly any career—from engineering to zoology. Just as we teach students how to dissect a frog, or how electricity works, it’s important for every student to have a chance to design an app or an algorithm, or learn how the Internet works.
Badger High School Juniors Participate In A Unique, Interactive Financial Program
Badger High School’s entire Junior class went through a financial education program called, "MyLIFE". The Juniors each chose a career path that determined their starting salary. From there, each student was randomly assigned a "life" – single, married or divorced, kids or not, a credit score, student debt – all potentially real-life situations.

LGMS December Above & Beyond Recipients
The Lake Geneva Middle School Counseling Department had the distinct honor of celebrating outstanding students at the Above & Beyond Ceremony. This prestigious award is designed to showcase Lake Geneva Middle School outstanding students that go above and beyond everyday expectations. Students that overcome challenges, display perseverance, consistently stay positive, and support others are some examples of the caliber of our nominees.
Hugh O’Brien Youth (HOBY) Leadership Seminar Representative Selected
Sophomore Annie Gottinger has been named Badger High School’s 2017-2018 HOBY Leadership Seminar representative... Traits that make good HOBY candidates include outstanding communication skills, charismatic personality, courage to challenge authority, sensitivity to the needs of others, creative problem solving, community service, courage to speak out for one’s beliefs, strong decision-making skills and critical/creative thinking.

Badger Students Attended the Gateway Experience
Polar Express Visited Central-Denison First Graders
The First Grade at Central-Denison had a Polar Express event on December 20, 2017. The conductor punched the kids' tickets and read the Christmas classic. They also enjoyed pajama day and hot cocoa while listening to the story.
Holiday Concerts Throughout the Schools

Eastview Students Christmas Carol in Community
Students from Eastview, led by MaryJo Fesenmaier and Seth Tost, went Christmas Caroling on December 18th to Arbor Village and Artisan Senior Centers. The students enjoyed spreading the holiday cheer to the community!
