A Message From
2017 FL CCIM Chapter President
Scott Lloyd CCIM, RPA

The Time is Right for Change!
Drinking from a fire hydrant is a comical reference, however after reviewing the Florida CCIM Chapter's (the "Chapter") first quarter of 2017, the phrase keeps popping into my head.
Chapter planning for the remainder of 2017 includes a dizzying amount of meaningful, state-wide events and your leadership continues to break new ground in the areas of education, technology and networking; our three pillars.
In just the first quarter of this year, the Chapter through it's eight dynamic districts have hosted two Outlook Conferences, three CI Courses, two Ward Courses, the Winter Business Meetings, 10 informative Luncheons and 18 Networking Happy Hours.
Chapter leadership traveled to Tallahassee along with the Florida Realtors® to promote the reduction of the rental sales tax. Many Chapter and District leaders then traveled to Chicago for the spring business meetings, where we pinned twelve new Florida CCIMs!
Many heartfelt thanks go to our volunteer leadership at both the Chapter and District levels. It is an honor to work alongside each one of you and equally inspiring and humbling to engage your passion and dedication to the members of the Chapter as well as to the pin.
Because of that passion and dedication, new ideas for our Chapter are flying around like crazy.

Florida Chapter Celebrates With Designees Who Earn Right To Wear Pin

The Florida CCIM Chapter has recognized seven chapter members who recently earned the Certified Commercial Investment Member designation, the global standard for professional achievement, from the CCIM Institute.
Headquartered in Chicago, CCIM Institute is one of the largest global commercial real estate networks.
The following Florida CCIM Chapter members were among more than 150 industry professionals who earned the CCIM designation during the organization's 2017 Midyear Governance Meetings April 1-5 at the Fairmont Chicago Hotel in Chicago:
  • Jamie Beale with Welltower, Inc., of Jupiter is an East Coast District member.
  • Roni Elias, a long time Florida resident who recently relocated to McLean, Va.
  • Ivan Gould of RE/MAX Alliance Group in Sarasota, is a West Coast District member.
  • Josette Jackson of Jackson Appraisal Services LLC in Milton is a Panhandle District member.
  • Niko Micin of AGM Net Lease in Miami Beach is a Miami-Dade/Monroe District member.
  • Thomas Miller of NAI Realvest in Orlando is a Central District member.
  • Heather Rideout of KW Commercial in Punta Gorda is a Southwest District member.
"Through hard work, dedication, and sacrifice, these designees have earned real estate's most coveted credential," says 2017 CCIM Institute President Robin L. Webb, CCIM. "I am pleased to welcome this new group of designees into our global network of the world's leading experts in investment strategy, financial analysis, and negotiation," adds the Florida CCIM Chapter member.

Florida One of Nine Chapters to Earn CCIM Institute's 2016 President's Cup Award

The CCIM Institute recognized Florida as one of nine CCIM chapters for excellence at its Midyear Governance Meetings in Chicago, held April 1-5.
The annual CCIM President's Cup awards program took place on April 4, honoring CCIM chapters that have demonstrated the highest degree of skill, ingenuity, and innovation in promoting the CCIM Institute brand at the local and regional levels.

The Florida Chapter took Second Place in the TIER 1 level - chapters with more than 228 members.

North Carolina won first place.

"Being recognized nationally by the Institute via the President's Cup was a team effort that demonstrates the commitment our chapter and districts have to its members," shared Florida CCIM Chapter 2017 President Scott Lloyd. "Our Chapter and our Eight Districts continue to improve the many ways that we promote the CCIM brand on their behalf," he added.
