Looking Toward this Sunday January 14, 2018
2nd Sunday after Epiphany

Scripture: John 1: 43-51
Sermon: Come and See

Claire George-Drumheller will preach at 8:30 and 9:45 in Lingle Chapel and 11 in the sanctuary.

It's fun to get an invitation - to a birthday party, to a dinner, to a wedding. It's the chance to join in on something special. This passage from John features two invitations. Jesus first invites Philip to follow him. Philip in turn invites Nathanael to come and see the one who was promised by the prophets. Since the time of Jesus, the Christian faith has been passed from person-to-person with that invitation: come and see. Come and see God's love. Come and see God's grace. Come and see God's bountiful gifts. Come and see!

The Geneva Choir will sing Psalm 139 at the 8:30 service.

The Chancel Choir will sing O God, You Search Me at the 11:00 service.

The Sacrament of Holy Communion will be served
at all 3 services.
