Principal's Message

Parents,

Thank you to everyone who attended Murwood's Open House last night.  We are grateful to our teachers and staff for all their hard work that went into an incredible year, wrapped up in one beautiful night.

I have to take a moment here to thank our custodians, Vee and Carmela.  Every day they polish this campus to make it the cleanest, safest learning environment for our students.  We are so grateful for them.

Please mark your calendar for the Master Plan Open House at the District Office on Wednesday, May 31, from 4-6 p.m.  Here's your chance to see the next step in the plans for site upgrades.

Murwood Principal

Kindergarten Parents
Please remember that Oral Health Exam forms are due 5/31.  If you are not up to date, you would have received notice from our district nurse at the end of March.   A reminder note from the office was also sent home in last week's Wednesday envelope for those students who still need to meet this requirement.  Dental forms can be picked up in the office if you have misplaced yours.
From the PTA President

I hope you all enjoyed Open House last night.  It is always such a treat to get to go into our child's classroom and see all that they have learned throughout the year.  Thank you to the teachers, Mrs. Nenni and all who made last night possible.  It was fantastic!

Don't forget to mark your calendars for June 2nd - Disco Bingo and our farewell to Mrs. Banfield.  It's going to be such a fun night.

Track and Field Day is right around the corner.  You don't want to miss this opportunity to volunteer.  It is such a fun day not only for the kids, but for us parents too.  Look for the link in the E-news.

I hope you all have a great Memorial Day Weekend!

News from Las Lomas High
Send a Note to a Graduate!

A popular tradition at the Las Lomas All-Knighter is the Post Office.  This is where Seniors receive notes written by friends, family, teachers and staff.  This is an easy way to send a "thinking of you" message, a favorite quote or a congratulatory note to a graduate on graduation night.  Please encourage friends and family members to join you in writing a brief message of congratulations to your graduate!

Email messages to: [email protected] Please include:
  • Student's first and last name in the subject line of email
  • The senders name at the end (so student knows who is sending the message)
Messages will be printed and placed in the graduate's post office box at the All- Knighter.  Also, a collection box will be located in the LL Attendance office for letters.  Please make sure the graduates name is clearly visible.

Letters must be received by Monday, June 5th to insure the graduate will receive them on graduation night. Questions?  Contact Sarah Lewis at [email protected]  or Julie Powell at [email protected]

There is still time!
Be sure to get your WCEF donation in before the end of the year. We've currently raised $880,000. We're hoping to move closer to our goal before the end of June. Visit our website today to   donate online and show your support.
