Do you want to become a MultiSport Canada Ambassador?


The MultiSport Canada Ambassador Team returns for the 7th year, and we are looking for passionate triathletes and duathletes to help us grow our incredible sport.

We are looking for athletes that are:
  • Engaged and involved in their local community and sport as a whole (ie: volunteering, clinics, guest speaking, charity work, etc.).
  • Positive, supportive and encouraging to fellow athletes.
  • Connected and engaged on social media ("likes" and "retweets" are nice but not enough, create unique posts and engage with our content on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter).
  • Innovative thinkers and content creators (training articles/tips, videos, podcasts, etc.).
  • Outstanding representatives (clean, sportsmanlike, ethical) for our sport and MultiSport Canada.
  • Athletes who love our races and are not shy about sharing their experiences with others.

Triathlon Ontario Championship and ITU Qualifying events at MultiSport Canada
 

Triathlon Ontario, the recognized Provincial governing body of Multisport in Ontario, announced its complete 2018 schedule for its Provincial Championship races and hosts for National Qualifying races for the 2019 ITU Age Group World Championships and we are host to a number of events:

Long Course Triathlon Long 
June 23 - Rose City/Welland
The long course event at Welland will host the Long Course Provincial Championships for the first time. This is a flat and fast course so expect some speedy times!

ITU Qualification Race - Sprint Triathlon
June 24 - Rose City/Welland
The Sprint Distance race at Welland will serve as host to one qualification spot for the Sprint Distance in each age group per gender.

Sprint & Standard Duathlon ITU Qualification Race
August 11/12 - Bracebridge
Cottage country will be the scene for the Duathlon Provincials and for those looking at a second chance to claim an ITU World Championship spot. There will be one qualification spot per age group per gender in each distance.

ITU Qualification Race - Standard Triathlon
August 25 - Wasaga Beach
The Wasaga Beach event will offer Standard Distance triathletes another qualification opportunity this summer with one qualification spot per age group per gender.

Youth Cup
The 12-13 Youth Cup Series finale takes place once again at MultiSport Canada's Lakeside KOS on September 8th.

Aquabike Provincials & ITU Qualification Race New
September 16 - Niagara Falls Barrelman
The fastest growing Ontario event over the past couple of years is serving as host to a new Provincial Championship and ITU Qualifier by offering two qualification spots per age group per gender.

As a reminder, in order to compete for a Provincial title or an ITU qualification spot, athletes must be 2018 Triathlon Ontario members before the event. There are no 2019 ITU Long Course qualification spots in Ontario in 2018 at this time.


Save the Date: Ontario Women's Triathlon & Beginner Clinics

The Ontario Women's Triathlon is set to go on Saturday August 18 at Toronto Island.

If you are new or relatively new to triathlon/duathlon and would like to get some face to face assistance to help you prepare for your race, you are invited to attend any of the following sessons presented by Paolina Allan and Roger Hospedales of PR Endurance Training.

We also welcome all new triathletes that need instruction to prepare for any of the other races in the MultiSport Canada Triathlon Series.

Clinics will cover everything you need to be successful at your race. At the clinics you can expect to go for a swim, practice transitions, and head out on a run. More details will be released soon. 
 
Snowshoe Canada's Second Annual Ontario Cup

Snowshoe Canada's second annual Ontario Cup snowshoe running and walking series kicks off with the first event on Saturday February 3rd in Fenelon Falls.

Snowshoe Kawartha is put on by a volunteer team of local citizens dedicated to staging a top quality event. The event includes a 5k short course and a 10k long course. A children' 500 meter event will make an attempt on the world record for most under 15 youth in a snowshoe event.  Snowshoes are available to rent on the day.  The day will also feature crokicurl on Cameron lake, ice fishing, fat tire bike tour and a history walk.  A hot lunch will be served during the awards ceremony at the local Anglican Church. The second stop on the series will be at Albion Hills Conservation Area in Caledon Ontario Sunday February 11th.

The event is presented by Personal Best Health and Fitness.  The course is one of the best in the GTA only 30 minutes north of the airport.  A short course 4k event and long course 8k event are on the agenda along with a fat tire event.  This event has been awarded the inaugural Ontario Provincial Championships title. Special unique awards will be presented.  Snowshoes will be available to rent on the day and a hot chili lunch and an awards ceremony will follow the conclusion of the event. The grand finale of the O-cup Series will be Hardwood Ski and Bike on Sunday March 18th. The event will include and 4k and 8k course. Hardwood is one of the best outdoor winter sports facilities in Ontario. The course is beautiful and challenging.  Snowshoes are available for rent on the day. The O-cup points series champions will be crowded at this event.  A hot chili lunch is included with you registration. Go to  www.hardwoskiandbike.ca/events  to register.
