"It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived."

Congratulations to 5 th grader, Emily Hollcraft, for placing 2 nd in the Catholic Daughters of America Education Contest. The theme was "Whatever you do for the least of my brethren, you do for me." Emily entered a beautiful poem. Congratulations, Emily! We are proud of you.

On Tuesday our school was represented by a group of 5 th and 6 th graders in the Diocesan "Battle of the Books." They represented our school well, answering questions on fifteen books that they read throughout the year.

Last Friday Mr. Bill Yaglou did a WWII presentation for our 8 th graders on weaponry used during that war. It was a great visual and hands-on experience. Thanks to Mr. Yaglou!

Don't forget field day on Friday. We need many volunteers to make this day fun, safe and memorable. If you can give us some time please let Mr. Howard know. Also, next week Book Fair is coming to the Library. Get prepared for summer reading and stop by.

Please mark the date: June 3 is our annual 5K Peace Run. Please plan to join us!

8th Grade Dinner Theater

movie_tickets.jpg The 8th grade Shakespeare dinner theater on Thursday, May 18, was a great success!  The 8th graders and their parents, as well as the staff and special guests, feasted on a lasagna dinner and dessert before enjoying an evening performance of Much Ado About Nothing under the direction of Mrs. Greshock.

Many thanks to the 6th grade parents who volunteered their time and efforts to host the event!  Mrs. Grant, Bogan & Reilly manned the kitchen for 3 hours - preparing salad, plating the meals and cleaning up afterward.  The Stalnaker, Grant, Reilly and Donohoe families heated up & delivered the hot lasagna trays, with extra assistance from Mrs. McCormack, Mrs. Rowley & Sra. Cummins.  Mrs. May provided several large beverage dispensers for our use, while Ms. Amenu (Girma) washed & delivered clean tablecloths afterward.  Several Extended Day Care students helped our custodian, Mr. James Thomas, to move tables and chairs after school, so that Mrs. Greshock and Mrs. Kiernan could decorate and set the tables for dinner.

We couldn't have done it without all your help!  Thank you for pitching in to create a wonderful evening for our 8th grade families.
FACTS Tuition Enrollment

silver-keyboard2.jpg
REMINDER:  All families must self enroll with FACTS Tuition Management by June 1st.  Late enrollments will alter your payment schedule, and will make your monthly payment higher.  In addition, the first of the academic fees will be billed at the end of June.  If you are not enrolled those fees will be billed immediately upon enrollment.  Please help us have an easy transition to the new tuition program!
