Change the World!

A Note From Pastor Linda

Commit your work to the LORD, and your plans will be established.
~Proverbs 16.3

Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him, and he will act.
~Psalm 37.5

Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

We are in the season of planning; planning for graduations planning for weddings, planning for college and next steps in life (maybe that is retirement for you and a change in direction), planning for a new grandchild.  Planning is essential.

Hosanna is in a season of planning. Your Council is using the information gleaned from the SWOT meetings and beginning the process of visioning and strategic planning. Organizations, businesses, groups, and institutions around the world all participate in strategic planning.  When it works right, it is a wonderful process that clearly defines the end result that each organization expects.  For the people involved it is a process that requires time, resources, and effort that involves rallying the troops long enough to ask the hard, diligent questions that will answer the essential question: "How will we (together!) accomplish this?"
This question is the most essential question of strategic planning.  It is what generates who is needed, how much money is needed, how long it will take, and what the challenges that we face are.  If an organization doesn't engage in strategic planning, there is a great possibility of wasted resources, needs being omitted and dismissed, and aimless, mundane work overtaking the day-to-day busyness of the organization. Consider this:

A vision without a plan is just a dream. A plan without a vision is just drudgery. But a vision with a plan can change the world! ~Old Proverb

Do you have a passion for this type of planning and visioning? Your church NEEDS you! Why? Because a vision with a plan will change the world... and that is what the CHURCH is all about!! Contact Pastor Linda, Mike Sosnoski or Tom Croce with questions about this opportunity!

Grace & Peace,

 ~Pastor Linda

Giving Update

As of April 2017- General Ministry Giving is behind to budget by $37,800. Bills are current and paid as the staff is doing an amazing job holding down expenses. This becomes even more urgent considering that we are going into summer and summer is historically a time in the life of the church where giving goes down. Action is needed now. The work of ministry at Hosanna continues throughout the summer months. It is also the time of readying for ministry to take place in the Fall and Winter months ahead.

Your Hosanna family needs you. There are many ways to give- even if you cannot be at worship:
  • Mail your gift to Hosanna or drop it off at the church office- 9300 Scandia Trail North.
  • Text to give: text Hosanna to 50155
  • Go online through QGIV here
  • Use BILLPAY from your financial institution.
  • Set up direct giving though Hosanna.
  • Contact Roxanne Anderson at [email protected] with questions about charitable giving.

Thank you, in advance, for your continued support.
