EQUIP District Evangelism Workshops     

Join the North East District for the 2018 training event entitled EQUIP 2018 - The "E" Word: Evangelism on Wednesday, January 27, 2018, at Beach UMC in Jax Beach. Check-in begins at 8:30 AM, event lasts until 3 PM.

Ecumenical Vespers for Northeast Florida

Participate in the universal Week of Prayer for Christian Unity! Ecumenical Vespers for Northeast Florida will be held on Monday, January 29, 2018 at 6:00 PM at the Riverside Presbyterian Church, 849 Park Street, Jacksonville, FL 32204.

The Biblical theme for 2018 as agreed between the World Council of Churches and the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity will be "Your right hand, O Lord, glorious in power" (Exodus 15:6).

Monthly Child and Youth Protection Classes

On-campus Child and Youth Protection Classes will be offered on the first Wednesday of every month.
  • 5:15-5:45 PM--Child Protection Class
  • 5:45-6:00 PM--Youth Protection Class
Child and Youth Protection Training is now available online! Visit our website to view training videos and complete an online quiz! 

Please note: CYP Training is NOT COMPLETE until all paperwork is received and a background check is completed. You must complete the  Child and Youth Protection Volunteer Application, Authorization for Background Screening Form and Participation Covenant Statement before the screening process is complete. These documents are available online.

We are holding a packaging event for Rise Against Hunger (previously called Stop Hunger Now) on Sunday, February 25. Sign ups will begin soon  to package meals. We will have multiple shifts available for families or individuals from 4 years old and up. Our goal is to package over 30,000 meals to reach MUMC's life time goal of 100,000 meals!

Crown Point Elementary Tutoring is Underway!
 
Tutoring takes place on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:30-5:30 PM at the Leigh Meadows Community Center.

We need tutors in all subjects at the elementary level! Tutors need to complete Child and Youth Protection Training and pass a background check.

Men's Wednesday Morning Bible Study 

The Men's Bible Study and Prayer Group meets on Wednesday in Wesley Hall from 6:30-7 AM to enjoy coffee (and breakfast you bring from home) with group members. From 7-8:30 AM, the group will meet in room 842 for Bible Study and Prayer.
