"Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity."

Non-Public School Scholarships
Important Information for Parents Regarding the State of Illinois Invest In Kids Act of 2017
Empower Illinois had an extremely successful first day yesterday and are excited to share that more than $35 million has been committed to the program thus far. Thanks to the support of generous donors, thousands of students are set to benefit from Illinois’ Invest in Kids Act. Tax credits are still available, but those interested in donating are encouraged to act fast. Individuals and companies can make donations until $75 million in state tax credits have been reserved. Copy and paste this link and scroll down to watch the video for complete information:  https://empowerillinois.org/donors/.

Students in Grade K-12 have the opportunity to receive these tax credit scholarships for the 2018-2019 school year. Families who meet the income are directed to visit the website empowerillinois.org to determine if they meet the income guidelines and learn what is necessary to begin the process of applying for these scholarships on Jan. 24, 2018. If you would like assistance with this process, please set up a personal meeting with Dick Wauer, Business Manager. The scholarships will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis so it is very important to apply early.

Families who would normally apply for Need-Based Tuition Assistance from Immanuel and meet the income guidelines below must apply for Invest in Kids Scholarships first. If there is still a need for tuition assistance, families may apply according to Immanuel’s policies and procedures. That information, from a third party, will be forthcoming in the near future.

Businesses or individuals interested in learning more about making a contribution to these scholarships and earning a 75 percent tax credit on their donation may visit empowerillinois.org and click on the “Donors” tab. It is important to check dates for donating as timing is tight this first year.

Please visit empowerillinois.org for complete information for students and donors.
