Immigration forum and 'Not in Our Town' community event
Spring is a great time to join neighbors and celebrate our community's diversity and support for one another. 

These events celebrate education, tolerance, community projects and improved support services for everyone. 

WHAT: Community Forum: You are not alone, Neighbors Coming Together

WHO: 'Not in Our Town' and the El Sobrante Sikh Gurdwara

WHEN: Wednesday, May 24, 7:30 pm

WHERE: El Sobrante Sikh Gurdwara, 3550 Hillcrest Road, El Sobrante

ABOUT: Community forum and open house on the Sikh religion and reaffirmation of community commitment to inclusion, love and understanding. Evening will feature a screening of a film about the 2013 murders of six people by a white supremacist at the Sikh Gurdwara in Oak Creek, Wisconsin.

WHO: De Anza High School Law Academy

WHEN: Saturday, May 27, 10 am to noon.  

WHERE: De Anza High School Theater, 5000 Valley View Road, Richmond 

ABOUT: Education and dialogue about immigrant rights, changes in enforcement under President Trump, DACA and family emergency plans. Special guest speaker will be Bill Ong Hing, professor of law, University of San Francisco School of Law.
