Phase Two of the Fraser Flats River Habitat Project Completed!
Over 3,000 willows and 90 cottonwoods were planted on the banks of the Fraser River last weekend - all by incredible volunteer support. Thank you to the Colorado River Headwaters Chapter of Trout Unlimited, this restoration would have been impossible without their help!
This project is headed by CHLT's Programs Manager, Anna Drexler-Dreis. The Fraser Flats Project is Anna's graduate project through Western State Colorado University. Anna is receiving a Master's Degree in Environmental Management.
An extra thanks to Kirk Klancke (third from left), local TU Board President!
Thank you to everyone who came out to strengthen the future health of this endangered river.
Don't forget to join us
June 2 at Dean Public House and
June 6 at Hernando's!
A portion of each nights proceeds will benefit CHLT.
