MBQIP Minute

Thank you for participating!  Q3-16 reports are complete and uploaded on the MHA Data Portal!

ZERO CASES
  • Zero cases count as participation.  If you have zero cases for a measure and do not complete this step, it will not count for participation in outpatient measures.

OUTPATIENT REPORTING
The next outpatient reporting deadline is August 1 for Q1-2017 cases.  You may start entering cases into CART now!

CARE TRANSITIONS (ED TRANSFERS)
Q2-2017 cases due to MT Flex/PIN by August 1.  You may enter concurrently by using the tools here.

PATIENT SATISFACTION
If you don't have a HCAHPS vendor, please visit our website here.

PATIENT SAFETY REPORTING
IMM-2 (Flu Immunizations for Eligible Patients)
  • Q1-2017 due August 1.  Use CART Inpatient version 4.19.1 (Cases Jan-Mar 2017)
  • In continuing efforts with align MBQIP with the CMS reporting programs, FORHP expects hospitals to follow the data collection instructions for the IMM-2 measure found in the Inpatient Specifications Manual, which indicates data is to be collected each quarter, even if out of flu season.
  • IMM-2 is a CMS Inpatient Global Measure with an initial patient population that includes all patients discharged from acute inpatient care with a length of stay less than or equal to 120 days.  Other measures are pulled from this population.
As long as CAHs meet the minimum threshold of submission they will be considered participation in MBQIP even if they do not submit cases for IMM-2 in Q2 and Q3.

NHSN Enrollment and Healthcare Provider (HCP) Flu Immunizations
