A Celebration of Milestone 1:Parent/Child Dedication &
Milestone 6: High School Graduation!

What a privilege it was on Sunday morning to dedicate 11 children and to pray blessing over 60 graduating Seniors. Join us in continuing to pray for these families as they begin these new seasons of life.

Annual Church Meeting Praise
Our transition to an Annual Church Meeting was a success.   If you missed the meeting, summary elements are located on carmelleader.org .  

A BIG thank you to:
  • all who waited so patiently in the food lines and showed such grace when we ran out of food ($10 per family dinner + ice cream was a bigger hit than we anticipated!)
  • Chef Lance and the kitchen team for serving up dinner and ice cream to so many, so quickly
  • the adult and youth GROW, Kidjam and FUEL volunteers who poured into our Nearest during the meeting!
May God continue to be glorified through Carmel this next year and always. (1 Peter 4:10-11)
 

Wednesday, May 24 - Summer Schedule Begins  
Our Wednesday Summer Schedule begins TOMORROW and includes dinner (4:45 - 6:15pm) and Adult Bible Study (6:15 - 7:30pm)! Join us on Wednesday evenings through the end of July! Preschool, CarmelKidz, and Fuel Student Ministries will not meet during these weeks. 

Wednesday, May 24 - Holy Land Trip Interest Meeting 
Tomorrow night at 6:15pm there will be an  interest meeting for those who'd like to learn more about traveling to the Holy Land in March 2018 with Carmel. Details available here. 

Carmel "Digs" Singing & Serving
We are so thankful for the Construction teams working on our new building! This past week, church and school staff served the crews BBQ while Carmel Christian students shared a song. To learn more about what's going on with the construction process, click here for the latest "Carmel Digs It" blog!

Helping Hands Praise
Thank you to Carmel's Helping Hand volunteers who spent countless hours laying new floors. The floors were installed for a ministry in Charlotte that will house young men and women who have aged out of foster care but still qualify for ongoing support, in partnership with Johnson C. Smith University.

Nations - Go, Pray, Give

Wendy Skenderi: Reflections on Albania

 "Please pray for those in Albania who heard the gospel. " 



"A team of 10 went to Tirana, Albania to serve alongside Bethany Social Services Albania and the local "Nxenesite Jezusit" church. The team led a Bethany staff day retreat, a church marriage conference, staff training seminars, and events for low-income families and single mothers. In addition, the team offered evangelistic activities for the staff and children of Bethany orphanage. It was a packed trip with many ministry opportunities."
