Peled Plays Dvořák Concerto in Dvořák Hall...

Cello soloist Amit Peled performs Dvořák with the 2017 PSN Festival Orchestra, conducted by John Nardolillo , inside the Großer Saal of the Mozarteum
Classical Movements is pleased to announce that world-renowned cellist Amit Peled will reprise his performance of Dvořák 's Cello Concerto in B minor for our 2018 Prague Summer Nights: Young Artists Music Festival . Traveling, once again , with Pablo Casals ' 1733 Goffriler cello, this summer, Peled will perform the work at the Rudolfinum 's Dvořák Hall , playing the same instrument in the same venue that saw Casals' own performance with the Czech Philharmonic and George Szell in 1937.

Patrick Diamond (Yale) & Gayle Shay (Vanderbilt)
Director of the Yale Summer Conservatory, Patrick Diamond also teaches at Manhattan School of Music. He will direct Die Zauberflöte at Estates Theatre , the only venue left standing where Mozart, himself, conducted.
Professor of Voice at Vanderbilt University, Gayle Shay is also Director of Vanderbilt's Opera Theatre. She will direct PSN's production of Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro at the beautifully restored Estates Theatre in Prague.

World Premiere of Greg Sandow's String Quartet
Prague Summer Nights 2018 will hear the world premiere of acclaimed composer and critic Greg Sandow 's brand-new string quartet , commissioned specifically for PSN participants, care of Classical Movements' Eric Daniel Helms New Music Program . Students will have the opportunity to work directly with the composer on both preparation and performance of his piece.
