Save the date for Heartland's July Conference!

On Saturday, July 15th, Heartland will hold a one-day conference for anyone who is interested in starting their own farm animal sanctuary. The morning session will discuss all the business basics of starting a nonprofit farm animal rescue. The afternoon session will cover farm animal care by species, as well as barn maintenance followed by a barn tour. Join us for the morning session, afternoon session, or all day!

Registration will open soon!
Say hello to Maybelle, Heartland's latest rescue!

Late last week we welcomed Maybelle
the potbellied pig into our barn. Maybelle's life has been rough from the start, but despite her heartbreaking past, she's already showed us how sweet, brave and curious she is. We will work on building up her confidence and trust every day. Please consider sponsoring Maybelle! We feel extraordinarily lucky to be able to give her a safe and loving forever home, but we can only continue our rescue work with your help! Check out her arrival in the video!
Barn tour season is in full swing!

Now that spring is upon us we are looking forward to a busy barn tour season and welcoming more people to our sanctuary than ever before! Check out the barn tour schedule and register! Tours are approximately 75 minutes long and $10 per person ($5 for Veterans and their family members). Don't forget that we also offer private tours if you're looking for a more one-on-one experience. Find more information here. We look forward to seeing you at the farm!
Heartland's People Programs: News and updates!

We're proud to announce that Heartland was recently awarded two grants to help expand and enhance our Animal Hearts and Barn Time people programs. Thank you to The Capital Times Kids Fund and the Evjue Foundation for your support and allowing us to help more kids in our community.

Our Summer Camp is officially full! If you'd like to get on the waiting list for any of our 11 weeks of day camp, please email [email protected]!
Thank you to Madison's 100+ Women Who Care!
The totals are in and we are thrilled to report that Heartland received a total of $14,377 in donations from the generous and kind members of Madison's 100+ Women Who Care! We are so thankful for this gift and we look forward to using the funds to update the barn's electrical system (with the help of an additional anonymous donor)! Thank you!
Can you help?
At Heartland, we house as many farm animals as is financially and humanely possible. Unfortunately, the large number of animals that need a safe home is much higher than the Heartland barn can contain. We created our Animal Rehoming Page to help connect farm animals to loving forever homes. Check it out and share with your friends and family so we can help even more animals in our community!
