ICN Annual Meeting - Lyon France
Emmit Owens recently had the chance to represent the Research Triangle region in Lyon, France at the International Cleantech Network Annual Meeting.
SMART Series - The Energy Storage Revolution in NC
On March 31, RTCC hosted the Energy Storage Revolution in NC SMART Series event featuring Paul Quinlan from ScottMadden, Diane Cherry from NCSEA, Ben Lowe from ALEVO, and Ben Schneider from PowerSecure.  
Innovative Business Cases for the Deployment of Microgrids
At this year's State Energy Conference, the Research Triangle Cleantech Cluster organized a panel focused on the business cases for microgrids. The panel featured Ken Dulaney from the FREEDM Systems Center, Jim Musilek from the NC Electric Cooperatives, Kevin Maegher from Power Analytics, and Nathan Adams from ABB.
Cleantech Connect Career Fair
This year's Career Fair had over 320 registered attendees and 17 employers. Special thanks to ABB, Farmshots, the US EPA, FieldVets, Hoffman Building Technologies, Itron, the NC Electric Cooperatives, NC Works, PrecisionHawk, the City of Raleigh, Resispeak, Schneider Electric, Seachange Technologies, Sensus, Strata Solar, TE Connectivity, Tethis, Triangle MicroWorks, Trilliant, and Wake County Economic Development.
IoT & What it Means for Energy
Last week, the Research Triangle Cleantech Cluster had the opportunity to partner with the North Carolina Technology Association to organize a panel presentation focusing on the role of IoT in the energy space. RTCC members Agilis Energy, the FREEDM Systems Center, and SAS all were featured on the panel.
RTP180 - Smart Cities
On April 20, RTCC partnered with the Research Triangle Park Foundation to organize this month's RTP180 event focused on Smart Cities. The panel featured OpenDataSoft, Sensus, and the Town of Cary.

RTCC Action Committees

RTCC's industry-led action committees provide members with opportunities to network with peers and to amplify their company's brand.

Talent Action Committee
Led by Preston Miller with Schneider Electric and Stephen Barrington with the Capital Area Workforce Development Board, the TAC focuses on increasing awareness of cleantech industry opportunities within the region and on sharing best practices between cleantech, HR leaders, e.g. university co-op programs. Contact Susan Sanford to get involved.

Programs & Communications Committee
Led by Alyssa Farrell with SAS and Linda Palmer with Sensus, the PAC focuses on conveying RTCC members' success stories from a customer perspective and identifying thought leaders for speaking opportunities. Contact Matt Abele to get involved.

Membership Development Committee
Led by Steve Carter with Hoffman Business Technologies and Kiersten Williams with G&S Business Communications, the MDC is focused on increasing RTCC's membership and onboarding new members to extract connections and value from the Cluster. Contact Emmit Owens to get involved.
