These past few weeks have been very busy for Allison and her team! Allison has enjoyed being back home in Virginia to train, and she has been hard at work preparing for the upcoming spring events.

Last month, Allison Springer Eventing traveled to the Tryon International Equestrian Center in Tryon, North Carolina for the Fork Horse Trials. Allison rode both  Natalie Epstein's Fairvoya S and Gustav Schickendanz's Songline II in the newly established M odified division. This event was the first to host the division, created to bridge the gap between the training and preliminary level, and Allison had a strong and confidence-building finish with Songline II and took home the win with Fairvoya S!

Following her success at The Fork, the last week of April was a very emotional one, as Allison rode the Team Arthur Syndicate's Arthur in their final 4* dressage test together at the Rolex Kentucky Three Day Event as an exhibition ride. In their final preparations for the event, it was discovered that Arthur had developed a degenerative heart condition due to age, and Allison and her team determined that it would be in his best interest to retire Arthur from the rigors of eventing. She was so thankful for the opportunity to ride him one final time at Rolex; it was the perfect send off for a pair who have done so much for the sport of eventing in the United States, and they received a standing ovation from the packed Rolex arena as they took a lap of honor following their test.

Allison is extremely grateful for her incredible veterinary team who caught Arthur's condition early enough to keep her longtime partner healthy and ready for the next challenge. While their final trip to Rolex was bittersweet, Allison is looking forward to continuing to ride Arthur at home and compete him in pure dressage and show jumping. He truly is one of her best and oldest friends, and she is so glad that he is happy and able to enjoy the next phase of his life.

As she celebrates Arthur's incredible career, Allison would like to take a moment to thank her team at Allison Springer Eventing, along with all of her supporters, sponsors, friends, and family for their dedication and passion over the years. None of this would've been possible without each and every one of you!

Hugs all around!
