"Inspiring students to love God, their Catholic faith and learning."
Technology
Today we rely on Technology for a variety of items that we use in our life. Here at St. Peter Interparish School we use technology everyday for a variety of activities throughout the school day. Currently we have managed to keep our technology current without a technology fee. Unfortunately we are at a point where we can no longer keep up with the new technology. Microsoft is phasing Windows 7 out in 2020 like they did XP. All of the computers used by the teachers and in the student labs are Windows 7 computers and need to be replaced by 2020 in order to have Windows support. Our current yearly technology budget barely pays for the yearly needs of technology. Over half of the budget goes to pay for licenses for Reading Counts, our SIS program, text program, internet monthly bill, virus protection for all computers, backup service for our computers and warranty fees. The other half helps pay for the upkeep of the current computers, projectors, smart boards and any other technology in the building. There is very little money at the end of the year to spend on new computers. Starting in the 2017-2018 school year we are asking each family to pay a $50 technology fee to help us update and buy future devices. It will take at least 3+ years of that fee to update all the computers in the building. Current computers will replace the XP computers that are being used in classrooms for Reading Counts. As we move to the new computers, the current Windows 7 computers will be put in a classroom for the students to use for Reading Counts quizzes and internet research. Future use of the monies collected from the fee will allow us to add more tablets/chromebooks gradually to the classrooms. Through the use of our e-rate monies from the government we hope to have the complete school wireless in the next couple of years. At this point we only have the 300 floor with full wireless capabilities. In the future as we add more devices to the classrooms, we will need to also add more wireless access points to accommodate the use of the devices and increase our internet bandwidth. As you can see, technology is moving forward at a fast pace and in order for us at St. Peter Interparish School to move forward we need to have money to keep up. The fee per family will help us get there. We are also constantly looking for grants and other methods to increase our funds, but these are very limited. We thank you in advance for your help. St. Peter Interparish School is lucky to have such great families.

Thank You
Thank You, St. Peter Family
This was our most exciting Student Council year yet. We were able to donate 10,262 pounds of food to the Samaritan Center and over 300 toys and coloring tools to St. Jude's patients. We gave a helping hand to 52 staff members, and sent 1,677 Candy Grams. We got our groove on at the Monster Bash and Catholic Bowl dances, and we learned about the Saints at the "All Saints Block Party."
Also, we have eaten 1,575 chicken biscuits and 600 servings of Dippin Dots, wore 414 ugly sweaters and 425 baseball jerseys, ate too many tacos and burgers to count. Amazingly, this added up to an awesome donation to help improve our playground - $5,029.45.
Thank you St. Peter for making a difference!

Report Cards

School Board
Thank you to Brian Zerr, Terri Haake, & Jennifer Schneiders for their time spent on the School Board the past 3 years. We wish to express our gratitude and support for their years of service.

Due to the fact we only had three interested candidates, we will not be holding an election this year. The following are bios are for our new School Board members.

Hello, my name is Jesse Pitts. My wife Lori and I have lived in Jefferson City since 2006. We have three daughters ages 7, 7, and 4. Next year our twins, Reese and Olivia will be entering the 2nd Grade and our youngest, Aubrie will be in the Pre-School program here at St Peter's. Growing up I attended Catholic Grade School and High School in St. Joseph, MO. I also attended Benedictine College for an Engineering Program that had me complete my Degree at the University of Missouri-Rolla. I am employed by Ameren as an Operations Supervisor at the Callaway Energy Center.

Hello fellow St. Peter parishioners my name is Shannon Owens. I am a newer member of the St. Peter community.  I attended St. Joseph and Helias and have been blessed to grow up in this wonderful Catholic community. My daughter Valyn is currently in first grade and my son, Leo will start kindergarten at St. Peter this fall. My husband, Joe attended St. Peter, and Valyn and Leo are the fourth generation in our family to attend school here, starting with their great grandmother, Mary Niekamp Owens. Catholic education has played a formative role in my life, not only did I receive a Catholic education through high school, I attended Marquette University, a Catholic, Jesuit college in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Catholic education has instilled service to others as a core value for me and is a big reason I would like to serve in this position. In my professional life, I work the Department of Natural Resources as IT policy director and also serve as chair of the board of trustees for the state employee pension fund, MOSERS. Thank you for your consideration for this important role.

My name is Rich AuBuchon and I am honored to be running for a position on the St. Peter School Advisory Board. I grew up in the St. Peter Parish, my nephews attended St. Peter Interparish School and our daughter Anna Lea AuBuchon attends St. Peter Interparish School. I practice law and lobby for multiple clients in Jefferson City. Currently I serve on the Jefferson City School Board and am very proud to volunteer to help St. Peter Parish and am proud to volunteer more time for our school. Over the years I have worked for the State of Missouri overseeing the Office of Administration and the Lt. Governor's office. I am married to Betsy AuBuchon who currently serves as the Clerk of the Supreme Court. We have four children and live just outside Lohman, MO.

2017-18 Supply List
Golf Fundraiser
GOLF CARDS $75
ALL PROCEEDS TO PLAYGROUND

A nonprofit group seeking to encourage youth golf has gotten commitments from 15 area golf courses in Boonville ,Columbia,Jefferson City,California,Tipton and the Lake of the Ozarks to offer discounted greens fees and cart rentals. This project is endorsed by Hall of Fame Football and Golf coach Ray Hentges. The cost is $100 to receive discounted rates on 60 rounds of golf. That amounts to a saving of almost $600 and you get to play different courses ;not the same courses over and over again. (Adults are welcome to use the cards as well.) Best news .....St Peter School would receive the full $75 dollars for each card it sells. ( If we sell just 50 cards that amounts to $5,000 profit. If each school family could sell one card that would be $25,000 profit. Surely everyone knows of one interested golfer.)To purchase a card or gain information please contact Gerard Rockers 573-680-0469. The proceeds from the sale will go towards the new playground. Sincerely, Gerard Rockers
