Univest is hiring a Community Relations Specialist

Serve as the point of contact for day-to-day nonprofit relations for all Community Relations Sponsorships. Research request for support weekly and provide information to Director of Corporate Communications for review. Coordinate logistics for approved sponsorships. Leverage all opportunities to elevate Univest's name and support to the communities we serve. Track community appearances and sponsorships on appropriate reports. 

Coordinate promotional opportunities tied to community, event-based initiatives to support Univest's lines of business in building relationships and awareness around our integrated solutions. Coordinate the details around the scheduling and distribution of banners, tables, giveaways, gift baskets and other promotional materials. Attend events and take pictures as appropriate.

Build brand awareness by securing opportunities for Buck and Penny - Univest's Eaglet Mascot's - to be in the community. Seek opportunities through sponsorships, parades, educational opportunities in schools and at Univest offices. Assist Public Relations and Social Media Manager in creating demand for these characters through increased usage with financial literacy programs. Maintain the schedule for Buck and Penny and work to secure volunteers for opportunities. Track appearances and report quarterly. Handle maintenance and cleaning with vendor to keep costumes in great condition.

Assist Director of Corporate Communications with monthly processing and logistics coordination around Corporate Contributions. Coordinate attendees to fulfill sponsor ticket benefits and other benefits as directed. Coordinate Univest key role representation at various community events as appropriate.

Annual Perkiomen Creek Sojourn 
Paddle a seven mile stretch of the Perkiomen Creek with the Conservancy team!  Every year for the past 10 years the Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy has teamed up with the law firm of Keenan, Ciccitto & Associates, LLP, to conduct a canoeing and kayaking adventure down the Perkiomen from the Conservancy Headquarters at the border of Schwenksville to Hoy Park in Arcola.

Learn about the human and natural history of the area, enjoy your lunch on a secluded gravel bar and view some of our more secretive wildlife. Bring your own canoe or kayak or rent one from us!

Renowned Musicians Performing at The American Treasure Tour

The American Treasure Tour invites everyone to come to enjoy free musical performances at our main entrance - see world-renowned musician Frank Della Penna perform the music of Cast in Bronze on his unique mobile carillon! This is a rare treat, and those who have not witnessed the beauty and majesty of this his art need to check this out. Also playing is a one-of-a-kind circus band organ called The General, part of the American Treasure Tour's amazing collection. Coupons for reduced-price admission to the Treasure Tour will be handed out to all attendees. Performances and walk-in tours will be available throughout the day between 10am -3pm. Community Memorial Day Parade - We owe so much to our veterans, and it is especially bittersweet yet joyful to honor those still with us! This year's Community Memorial Day Parade will start at 10 a.m. on Memorial Day, Monday, May 29, 2017 (no rain date). This years theme is Trappe 300th Anniversary. The parade route is the same as last year, starting at Augustus Lutheran Church in Trappe on Seventh Ave., then downhill on Main St. in Trappe to Waterworks Park. The parade ends at the Park at noon with a Remembrance Observance followed by a Community Day which will feature great food, live music, and free entertainment and games for kids!

The non-profit Collegeville Economic Development Corp. (CEDC) and the Memorial Day Parade Committee volunteer their time and energy to bring this parade to the community every year. Sign up now to be in this wonderful community parade. Mark your calendar to attend with your family!

Perkiomen Township Community Day!  
All residents of township welcome to attend

Activities for this year will include a moonwalk, face painting, a magician, character portraits and balloon sculptures. This year there will also be a petting zoo. There will be train rides at the Live Steamers across from the Township Pavilion. Music will be provided by Red Hill Jazz Band from 11 AM to 12:30 PM and Perkiomen Valley High School Jazz Band from 1:45 PM to 3 PM. Food & beverage will be provided. 

Touch a Truck:  Equipment will be on display from Perkiomen Fire Trucks, Township Public Works, Montgomery County Bomb Squad, and EMS.  Blood pressure screenings by EMS and children's fingerprinting by State Police.

At 1:00 p.m., the Township will be recognizing Robert Albright, a longtime resident of Perkiomen Township. Mr. Albright was a WWII veteran and a POW. As a hobby, Mr. Albright built model Buildings of structures located in Perkiomen Valley. Some of these models are on display in the Community Room which is located downstairs in the Township Building.

On Sunday, hear Harriet Tubman speak about her experiences with the Underground Railroad and hear musician Matthew Dodd sing and tell stories of the Civil War. Food vendor onsite. The venue is the breathtaking Bellewood Country Club (400 E. Schuylkill Road, Pottstown PA), known for its outstanding golf course and fine dining. The day will include full access to the course, lunch, prizes, raffles and dinner at the elegant club house facilities. The format will be a 4-person scramble with prizes awarded for the first three places. Skills events will also be included.
We are asking for your participation in our golf outing, either through challenging your fellow golfers, by contributing to our raffle to make the day more enjoyable, or by a direct financial pledge.
