A Message From Michelle
Spring is in the air....or is it?  These last few weeks of February have given us blue skies, warm temperatures and flowers blooming; but wait, is that snow that's causing the trees today to look like a beautiful lacy landscape??  Ahhhh, the wonders of the seasons!  My message this month is to enjoy the moments; each and every one of them; to slow ourselves to the place where we are able to appreciate all those things in our life that are easily overlooked when we're moving at such a pace.

I don't know about you, but as I often tell my friends and family, "Time is not my friend".  I say this with a smile because it seems that no matter how much I try, it's difficult to find the time to do all the things that my heart and head want to do!  We fill our calendar with schedules and appointments and each day speeds past and before you know it, a month is gone.  We have work obligations and family events and weekends with friends; we have sports and restaurants we haven't tried and trips we want to take.

Finding those "slow-down" moments are absolutely necessary.  They are careful reminders that our bodies need time to be quiet.  We need to appreciate and learn to be mindful; not an easy task for someone like me (and maybe you?) who moves through thoughts and tasks and lists; all the while thinking of another task to add to my list!

And so....I am slowing down this week.  My daughter and I are leaving for our annual Mother/Daughter "re-set week".  It's a time we started several years ago and a week I never want to lose.  I invite you to slow down for a moment and consider inhaling the moment you're in; consider your space, look at the sun shining off the "snowy lace" on the trees.....and appreciate those small (and great) moments all around us.
