NEW SERMON SERIES: UPGRADE
This Sunday (1/14): 
Upgrading Our Commitment to Jesus
Scripture:  Revelation 3:14-22

This Sunday we will unpack what Jesus had to say to the church at Laodicea.  When we breakdown what Jesus is saying to the believers in this church, we find that Jesus is gauging their level of commitment to Him.  It's a scary thought; and yet, we know that the Lord searches and knows our hearts and our level of commitment as well.  This Sunday we will look for ways that we can upgrade the level of commitment to the Lord in our hearts.- ART

GOD'S GREAT PLAN (for MCKids)- 7-week course, January 14 - February 25,  at 10:30 a.m. on Sundays in the Youth Café. If your child has been asking about baptism or what the Lord's Supper means, or you think your child is ready to understand the gospel, please complete the Participation Pledge form (link in separate email) to register for the class. WEDNESDAY NIGHT SMALL GROUP STUDIES FOR ADULTS WILL BEGIN ON JANUARY 17 at 6:30 pm

Imperfect 10 - Led by Art (Room 210)   
We will be studying the 10 men and 10 women whom God used to change the world.  This is based on a study by Max Lucado you won't want to miss.  
(Note:  Come early for some homemade chili, all the fixings, and dessert. Childcare provided.)

GAME NIGHT (for 6th-8th Graders) - this Friday (1/12, 6-9pm  Quiplash, Mario  Cart, Just Dance, and lots more.  Plus Pizza!
Cost:  $3.00/person RSVP by Thursday. 
 
WEEKEND IN SOAPSTONE (for 9th-12th Graders) -  Leave Saturday (1/13) at 2pm; return Monday (1/15) at 11am.  We will be spending the night in the Buttrills' cabin.  Bring a pillow and sleeping bag, and your Bible.  Must RSVP this Wednesday by bringing $22 to Will!

WINTER FIESTA - this Wednesday (1/10)

Get 2018 started right with a 1-Year Journal Plan reading program - SOAP (Scripture, Observation, Application, and Prayer)  Pick up a bookmark for January - March 2018 at the Connections Counter and, if you like, one of the journals ($10.00 donation, please).
January Dollar Club offerings will go to Parkview Christian Learning Center.  
YOUNG AT HEART will be going to Buckner's Family Restaurant in Jackson, GA,  on Thursday, January 18 for an All-You-Can-Eat Lunch (just $11.50)
We will be carpooling again this year, so please sign up at the Connections Counter and indicate if you can drive and take others or if you need a ride. Note:  There will be a stop at Tanger Mall for a little shopping if your driver chooses to do so.

WEDNESDAY PROGRAMS BEGIN JANUARY 17 AT 6:30 pm
Nothing but the Truth provides food items for children who receive lunches during the week but may go hungry on the weekend.  Needed:  individual containers of mac'n cheese, ravioli, apple sauce, salty snacks, etc.  Bring your donations to the Connections Counter.
