2018-19 School Calendar Important News
Crean Lutheran is excited to announce important school calendar changes for the 2018-2019 academic year that will further our mission of Proclaiming Jesus Christ through Excellence in Education . While the full calendar will be available at a later date, key features include: 1) the first day of school for returning students taking place on August 14, 2018, 2) first semester final exams occurring prior to Christmas break, and 3) the school year ending on May 31, 2019 with graduation on June 1, 2019.

There are myriad reasons for making this change, including reducing stress by having finals prior to Christmas break, providing additional time for AP teachers to prepare their students, and supplying students with a calendar more similar to the one they will experience while in college.  By God's grace, we hope this change blesses our students and families . We are indeed looking forward to serving our Lord and CLHS families in the 2018-2019 academic year.
We Want to Hear from You!
Jesus is indeed before all things, and as we serve the mission of "Proclaiming Jesus Christ through Excellence in Education," we want to ensure that we are honoring Him and the principles of good stewardship as we consider additional program offerings.
We would be grateful to have a few minutes of your time from which we may gather feedback related to your interest in CLHS cohort and science course offerings.

Tip of The Week
Empower your student! High school is a time for your student to build skills in being self-reliant, independent, and assertive. I would like to team up with you, as parents, to help your students learn these skills. What does this look like? Encourage your student to contact teachers directly, if they have questions or problems. Encourage your student to take leadership positions. Encourage your student to seek answers to their questions. Encourage your student to consistently keep track of their grades and credits. Encourage your student to take ownership of the college search process. As I get to know your students, I will be encouraging them to be independent and assertive both with teachers and peers. These are skills that they need in order to be successful in high school, as well as in the years following graduation.
