We're Up to 56 Signatures!

Deadline Extended to May 19th! Ask
your Representatives to Sign FDA Letter

The Congressmen Chris Stewart/Buddy Carter Congressional Letter to the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) has been EXTENDED to FRIDAY, MAY 19th!

Please contact your respective Congressional representatives, asking them to join Congressmen Stewart and Carter in signing a bipartisan communique to FDA!

Extension was granted by the Representatives' offices in order to accommodate two DQSA Coalition legislative fly-ins (opportunity for these fly-ins to generate more signatures), and because Dr. Scott Gottlieb's FDA Commissioner Confirmation will be occurring later this month.

WE NOW HAVE 56 HOUSE SIGNATURES - let's push it to 60!! Please email dagmar@iacprx.org to check whether your Representative has signed the letter.

Let's try to get as many signatures as we can and send a strong message to FDA that the Agency must follow the 2016 Omnibus appropriations language!

VIN News Services Covers California State Board Meeting

The VIN News Service this week covered a California State Board of Pharmacy Enforcement and Compounding Committee compounding regulation meeting. "Difficulties faced by California veterinarians in obtaining compounded drugs for their patients aren't likely to be resolved any time soon, judging by the outcome of the recent meeting of the California State Board of Pharmacy Enforcement and Compounding Committee."
IACP Member Bruce Dell, BS PharmRoadrunner Pharmacy in Phoenix, Ariz., is quoted in the  VIN News article, "Confusion Ensues During Veterinary-compounding Discussion - California Regulators Grapple with Applying New Rules."
According to Dell, "There is no way for a veterinarian to know in advance the species, weight and dose [of a potential patient]," Dell said. "Absence of clinic stock delays treatment."

State Updates
