May is the unofficial kick-off to summer golf starting with the Memorial Holiday Weekend. It's also the time to reflect and give thanks to our many veterans who gave great sacrifices for us. May is especially exciting as Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove, Illinois plays host to the NCAA Division 1 Men's and Women's National Golf Championships this month on May 19-31. With 16 years in the making to bring this national tournament to Chicago, proud owner, Jerry Rich can't be more excited!

A total of 384 participants have been selected for regional competition. Of these players, 132 will advance to the championship finals. Six teams and 3 individuals will advance from each regional to compete at Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove, Illinois, hosted by Northern Illinois University. The GOLF Channel will televise live the final three days of the championship. Come out alumni and wear your team colors and cheer for your favorite college team! They are the future of professional golf!

The 2017 golf season is officially underway and open to the public at the Odyssey Golf Foundation and the links are already warming up with golfers. On April 17, the first Veteran's Golf Outing took place with an at-capacity attendance, and the event lineup to Memorial Day includes outings on May 1, 15 and 30. "We've already scheduled more than 20 Veteran's outings this season, up from 15 last year," noted Lisa Halikias, Executive Director of the Foundation.
