FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Fowler Community Members Invited to Help Paint Mural

Fowler, Indiana - The Tippecanoe Arts Federation (TAF) announces a third Art in Rural Places mural will be created by Fowler community members and facilitated by San Francisco street artist Cameron Moberg on May 26 at Local Bar (106 N Adams Avenue). The mural's nature inspired design and will have local details incorporated.

As part of TAF's Art in Rural Places program, Moberg will hold a community workshop at Local Bar on Friday, May 26, at 3:30 pm. All ages and experience levels are welcome and encouraged to attend. Participants will learn street art-inspired spray paint techniques and help paint the mural.

The mural will be unveiled during a community dedication on Sunday, May 28, at noon. Food and drink will be served and everyone is invited to join in the celebration.

The Fowler Art in Rural Places mural and community workshop are made possible with support from the Benton County Community Foundation, National Endowment for the Arts, and the Tippecanoe Arts Federation.

About Cameron Moberg, Camer1
Cameron "Camer1" Moberg's, winner of Oxygen Channel' 2015 Street Art Throwdown, believes that "painting things of love and hope can often help someone make better decisions and continue persevering in hard times." The artist resides in San Francisco with his wife and two sons where he paints mural and canvases. He is heavily involved in his community teaching classes for all ages. Last fall, TAF's Art in Rural Places initiative brought Moberg to Rensselaer for a 10-day residency during which community members helped create a 30-foot tall mural of a phoenix.

About Art in Rural Places
Art in Rural Places, an initiative of the Tippecanoe Arts Federation, brings artist residencies to underserved areas that have limited access to the arts. Through each artist residence, visiting artists work with students and community members to design and create a community-specific mural. Each Art in Rural Places mural is publicly unveiled and dedicated with the help of elected officials and community participants, stakeholders, and partners. The Art in Rural Places program is funded through the support of community organizations and through a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.
