From the Office of the Principal

Hello Loyola,

Many of you have asked how and when you can help us out with our move to one campus. We have some opportunities for you, your children and family to help us out.

We are hoping to make a majority of the move within the next two weeks. Our biggest area of need will simply be the loading and unloading of items from Fitzgerald School to the Good Counsel School. The afternoon of  Thursday, May 25th, we will need assistance moving items out of classrooms and into the hallway at Good Counsel while moving items to the main level at Fitzgerald.

The following week,  Tuesday, May 30th through Thursday, June 1st we will be loading and unloading items into larger trailers. We will need crews loading at Fitzgerald and unloading at Good Counsel. Some staff may need some assistance with packing as well. We are hoping by coming together as a school community to support our staff that we can make the move happen quickly efficiently while supporting each other and building our community.

Please take a look at this link, it will provide specific times and descriptions for each date of moving!  By signing up, it will give us an indication of how many hands we'll have on deck and who we can have in each spot to help.  A reminder, students can use these opportunities for service hours. For our soon to be graduated seniors, we have plenty of work to do and our staff could use any help you can give! If you are interested in helping before  next Thursday, please seek out a teacher or staff member and find out how you could help!

We do appreciate your support and thank you!

Blessings on wonderful weekend for you all!

NEW ATHLETICS POLICY
Loyola is making a change to a policy regarding students that leave Loyola, but still want to participate with our athletic teams. Our current policy states that the student pays the activity fee ($250.00) just like our current students do.  The board of trustees recently approved a change that states the student will pay $750.00 per sport in which they participate.
Please note, these conditions will still be applicable (per MSHSL):
1.The student will have one calendar year to participate with Loyola from the date of the transfer.(MSHSL rule bylaw 111.00)
2.If a Loyola Varsity athlete chooses not to participate at Loyola, and instead will participate at their new school, they will participate at the JV level.

THANK YOU CHRISTIAN SERVICE HELPERS!
As our preschool and PreK classes said goodbye to their senior Christian Service helpers, they came up with some pretty good advice for them:
Make new friends
Get lots of sleep
Eat healthy fruits and vegetables
Stop at stop signs
Look both ways before you cross the street
Call your mom every day
Drink healthy drinks like water
Don't eat ice cream before your healthy food
Change your clothes, brush your teeth
Read books and count numbers every day
Water the flowers and smell them too
Wash your clothes
Don't eat too many chocolate chip cookies
Drive safely
and...
Remember to pray every day and keep Jesus in your heart!
